Movement has always been a part of my life ranging from team sports to contemporary dance. I studied for my degree at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds and It was during my time at university that I began to explore the practice of yoga, using it as a tool to stay flexible both in body and mind. I started my practice through Ashtanga yoga and some vinyasa flow. However it wasn't until after I had graduated that I started to get deeper into my yoga practice and think about taking on a teacher training course.
In 2015 I travelled to India and embarked on my 200HR TTC with Trimurti Yoga School. I took a multi-style yoga certificate, training in Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin.
I had the most amazing and memorable experience whilst I was out there, training and living with a group of people who were all on the same journey.
I am now currently working towards my 300HR certificate in Yin Yoga with American teacher and acupuncturist Josh Summers.
I teach at various locations across Leeds, leading Vinyasa flow and Hatha classes as well as Yin yoga monthly workshops. I love to be creative in my classes which is why vinyasa flow is the style that I gravitate towards. Finding new ways to sequence postures and have fun!
